Disability Employment Services

Unlocking Opportunities, Empowering Lives

At Jobs Australia Enterprises Ltd, we deliver the Disability Employment Services (DES) program to our Participants on a holistic level. We identify their barriers to employment, assess their skills and abilities, review qualifications and previous employment history, and explore potential employment paths. Together with our Participants, we develop an individually tailored pathway plan with the aim of securing sustainable employment.

The DES program is part of the Australian Government’s employment services system. It has been designed to provide tailored assistance to jobseekers who require additional support due to a disability or facing complex barriers.

Services offered under the DES Program
  • Disability Management Service (DMS): Provides short-term assistance for jobseekers with mild disabilities, temporary injuries, or illnesses.
  • Employment Support Service (ESS): Offers long-term support for jobseekers with permanent disabilities, illnesses, or injuries.
  • Eligible School Leavers (ESL): is another program under the DES service that is designed to support students with a disability in their last year of school to transition smoothly from school to work. Providing support and teaching them skills in the year prior to transitioning. Students with a disability also undertaking an ASBAT are eligible for this supported service.
