After a rigorous financial review and with considerable deliberation, Jobs Australia Enterprises (JAE) has made the very difficult decision to withdraw as a provider from the Workforce Australia program, administered by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR), following 25 years of active participation across the New England and Northwest regions.

Consequently, this means that a number of JAE Workforce Australia services sites will close on or about 9th of February 2024. JAE will continue to provide phone services and appropriate supports for all customers and will work with the department to ensure a smooth transition to a new provider.

Despite our best efforts, as a small single region provider, the continuing negative financial impact, which the Workforce Australia program has placed on our organisation has made our position untenable. If you are currently serviced by Jobs Australia Enterprises under the Workforce Australia Program, the department will advise you of your new provider in the coming weeks.
Our commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities through the Disability Employment Services (DES) program will continue. We also remain dedicated to assisting communities through our philanthropic community-based projects, as well as continuing to operate our commercial units, inclusive of PALM (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility), General Labour Hire and Employment Mediation Services.
